Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island. Has anyone seen a concert there? How was the venue / vibe? I heard it was a little bit of a pain to get to. I'm trying to decide if I should pull the trigger on tickets or not.

To answer my own question, here's my daughter. We're talking about the old Meigs field. "I prefer to not go there if I'm honest. Nice views but hard to get to. You can park at soldier field but then you have to walk a bit, seats are cramped together and the sound isn't as good since it's outside. But It's fine if you really want to see the person who is there. "The seats are strapped together in rows but not to the ground so some people will push the row in front of them up or back so then some rows have zero space to move. "If there's a vip parking option, that is worth it. The parking lot is right outside."
To answer my question again, for all the hype, the venue was just ok. There's no skyline view unless you got crappy seats, otherwise the stage blocks the view. The closest parking is the north entrance of the Soldier Field underground parking deck. That's 3/4 of a mile away and cost $42. You could get cheaper parking with SpotHero but you'd be on the other side of Lakeshore. Leaving was a pain in the butt too, if only because several thousand people are trying to exit via a small choke point. That being said, I'm really glad I went. Dylan put on a performance for the ages, but if I ever end up back at Northerly Island in my lifetime, it will be too soon. It's just too much of a pain in the *** to get to and back with no good parking options available.
