Help! Someone's in distress!

That upper soffit has been causing trouble for years. Maybe they should take that up with the landlord. It's long overdue.

@PeoriaIllinoisan : Don't think anyone was referring to the soffit. Saw on FB where quite a few people considered displaying their flag upside down. I understand their distress.

@RambleOn : I can understand, but I don't have to agree with their form of expression. On the other hand, when I was a 20 y/o college kid, I did knucklehead things too.

Expressions of what is happening in America are upside-down. Today if you neighbors offended you. Do you become friends or the other way around.

My neighbor has been flying his flag upside down for a couple months or so now. Rather ridiculous, if you ask me. The people who think things are bad here have no idea what bad is like. They just don't get how good they've got it.

@RambleOn : The guy who lives next door to me is not low income, not in a rural area where the hospital just closed, nor a young child who is hungry. He's in no distress.

A person never knows the mental state of another person. Someone can be very distressed / distraught / anguished / angry / worried / nervous / unstable, or a multitude of other things, without another person ever knowing.

I think there's very legit reason to fly the flag upside down. I think you lack empathy for people who will suffer, per many, many experts. And also according to many Republicans.

@PeoriaChronicle : how do you know that for sure? Are you his banker, psychiatrist or spouse? Hard to know what the secret fears are.
