I'd have to have someone in the know point out the foods that are not loaded with spice. I can't handle a lot of Indian food. Wish them great success, though!

Ruchi's had a (lunch?) buffet, but I don't see anything about buffet on Tadka's website.
But a co-worker visiting from India preferred Haldi's, so Tamara could be a quality upgrade.

The owners of Haldi closed that restaurant and re-opened in the new location as Indian Tadka. Lunch buffet is offered every day except Monday (closed). They have cleaned up the place and there is new flooring and freshly-painted walls. The buffet today had more than a dozen offerings, with a good mix of spicy and mild. Fresh naan is brought to your table. They are pretty good about listing the items on the buffet on their Facebook page.

@Snowstorm : Ok, so the new place is basically just Haldi in a better location? I didn't know Haldi closed. We went there for the buffet a few times, and it wasn't bad. You just have to take small portions at first until you know what's beyond your spice level, then stick to refills on what doesn't bother you. Parking was a pain at Haldi, so Rasoi's location would be a big improvement on that.

@Crispus : Yes, but Haldi used to have a lunch combo instead of a buffet on weekdays. That is not offered at the new location. I think the biryani (veggie and chicken) are offered on the buffet everyday now.
