Gentlemen Start Your Mowers!

I got my mower out, started mowing, ran into thick grass, it died. Went to start again, and pull rope broke (Thought I could get by just 1 more time!)Fortunately a guy and a gal was mowing someone else's yard just opposite the corner where I live, saw me having problems. Offered to cut my yard with his riding mower for $25. I said yes, please, it was tall. And he was able to mow close to the house where I've had bees flying out at me despite spraying it a couple times.
Tomorrow he's coming to do my backyard for a reasonable rate too. And I have the name of a company that can replace the rope. I don't think I could push a mower fast enough in a race, lol.

Yes, it was a thick cut and probably pulled all the chemicals out of the air. That clean smell after the rain.
Rain collected in a five-gallon bucket over the last storms 6 inches of rain. I had a plastic tote was half full.
@DennisinPeoria : I might have a top for the mower. Spare parts if you may need.

Got out the pontoon kit for the rider on Sunday and hammered down in between showers.

i mowed ours yesterday and the lawn mower kept getting clogged, poor lawn mower. it got the job done

@SuzyH : Same here. It was long and painful but it got the job done.

I used to have a beautiful weed-free lawn, but because I'm an idiot and mowed the yards next to me, I must have brought the weeds from their yard onto mine in the mower. 3 weeks ago I got some of that Ortho concentrate and sprayed that using the hose attachment. I think it was weed FOOD because not only did the weeds not die, but they grew faster and stronger than ever. I bagged when I mowed this time so I wouldn't keep mulching the weeds back into the soil and I filled three garbage cans full of lawn.
