#msg1963771Over 20 trucking companies have gone out of business in the past few months.
By blaming Biden, Trump's admitting that he's unable to change anything.
billybob, CCubs and AverageSue + 1 more reacted I glanced at an article last night, but wasn't thinking about this thread. School districts in California are claiming their transportation costs are at half their yearly budget, a quarter of the way through the school year. While I haven't heard any whining from local school districts, one would think they are hurting, too.
Which made me think of something else. While I think D150 is administrative top heavy, and the largest part of our property taxes go to D150, this made me think. I wonder how much it costs to run, fuel, maintain, insure, buy/replace, etc. the huge fleet of D150 school buses a year? Plus they get used to transport field trips, sporting events, band, and other after school activities.
I agree with these stats, except Conservatives I've seen posting on other social media always deflect back to how high gas prices were under Biden...in 2022 after Russia invaded Ukraine. Which did impact global oil prices. But the Right never mentions that little important detail.
My opinion and mine alone.
I noticed two stations that were $4.79 were $4.69 today. I'm hopeful that's a trend, but Peoria Gas Mafia has probably made a "house call" and told them to knock that **** off.

There are reports out of Texas,Kansas, Nebraska and areas north of Bangor,Maine, that in some small towns the only gas station has closed. So much so in Maine that it has also really impacted traffic , visitors and business from Canada. I am sure there are other states where the gas stations have permanently closed but have I have first hand knowledge of those states.
