I miss the restaurant at the Holiday Inn. Was a happing place during the weekend.

The last time we were at Applebee's, there was no hot water in the bathroom. I told one of the servers and her response was "well, we put hand sanitizer in there". I asked about the kitchen's hot water..she said they had a different tank for the sinks. Our food was cold and wrong. We never went back. The water issue and attitude was enough for me.

Applebees food always seemed like a reheated frozen tv dinner. It doesn't surprise me that they closed. I cannot recall eating there since they moved.

I ate there about 2 months ago. Had the AYCE Riblets. They were about half full. Food was good, filling, service was good.

Can't say I ever ate there. Yeaaaaaa.....the chain restaurant thing. Only go if I am outvoted which means I go the Texas Roadhouse more than I care to. But when I would go to Shogun, they would have more cars in the parking lot than Applebees did. For a nationally known chain restaurant, that was kinda sad.

We used to eat there all the time back home in NM. Then we moved up here. First time we ate there 10+ years ago it was ok. After that, though, the quality started to drop fast. Food was cold, service was crap, etc. Eventually we just quit going there altogether. Same with Red Lobster. Both times we ate there we all got nauseas. Have never been back there again.

@froggy : I was ecstatic when Red Lobster announced they were coming to Peoria. Been there twice. If I want Red Lobster, I'll head to Bloomington.
