Is there a city ordinance regarding lawn mowing hours? My neighbor's lawn service showed up and started mowing at 7:15 this morning for a ten minute job, on a loud commercial riding mower. Ugh.

@itsme7 : Yeah, I hate that. I really hate it on Sundays. I wish there was a ban for all powered lawn equipment on Sunday evenings. I would like to sit in my back yard and enjoy some peace, but between the lawn mowers, chain saws, and leaf blowers, it always something.

I'll have to check Marquette Heights ordinance then..If they don't have one, that means I can get a couple flood lights, shine them on front yard, mow grass at 9 pm or later, LOL.

I was on the roof at 6 am this morning in East Peoria. Neighbor came out at 8 am. With the air running didn't hear a thing.

In my neighborhood (Lake Camelot aka Stepfordville) when 1 person starts a lawn mower, everyone else feels the need to do the same, regardless of the time. It's kind of creepy to watch! 😂
