Boy this brings back memories. I remember looking forward to this in school because it was a chance to eat at the food carts. The smells were amazing around the courthouse plaza and we were always trying to figure out whose cart we were smelling. LOL

@kraziebill :
They also had about 3-4 food carts set up there between the two plazas.

While the courthouse is under construction, I presume. Are there foodcarts at the courthouse? I wonder how they're doing. Do food trucks need a license to park and open up shop on a downtown street? How does that work, anyway?

@PeoriaIllinoisan :
Yes a permit is required and just recently the city council canceled the cost of the permit hoping to draw them back downtown. Also they are only allowed in specific spots, making it difficult for food trucks.

If I remember correctly only 1 or 2 permits were pulled for last year.
