Would you buy one?

Given that you could buy 3 of these for the cost of one Rivian RT1. Nice. The manufacturing concept is back to Ford's Model T assembly line. Any color you want as long as it is black.

I'm certainly interested in the Slate and love the concept. I'm not looking to buy anything at the moment but when the time comes I'm likely to take a look at them.

The big drawback for me about the slate... is that is has poor towing capacity. I need something that has tow rating in the 6000-7500 range. Akin to a Ford Ranger, Toyota Tacoma... European SUVs... etc. There is a lack of mid tier towing vehicle choices. The payload limit is on the light side too.If you are going to be a truck... be a truck.
