Biting Flies? I thought it was just me. They attacked the hell out of my legs out at Kellogg, especially on the back nine which is bordered by farmland. Talk about first world problems, through the heat and the flies, I kept pushing on!

a place we used to go camping in VT had greenhead flies. Those suckers bit terribly.

I spent one summer in the heart of the Adirondacks. I don't know how people could stand watching 4th July fireworks with the swarms of black flies. Maybe the local are immune or the flies sensed "fresh meat".
