@kraziebill : Hasn't that apartment complex a magnet for this or was it at a different location along Brandywine?

@kraziebill : What gives there? This doesn't seem like it should be a bad area.

It's a huge complex. Just takes one to ruin a reputation. They must have trouble there though, because I see the popo patrolling in there a lot.

Email we got indicated a police incident at War Memorial and Meadowbrook, not Brandywine. At 5:04 am. So who knows?

@DennisinPeoria : That was a different incident.
That intersection is Meadowbrook on one side and Brandywine on the other. Just like war and Glen and sterling.

@mypeez :
It's not the quality it used to be. And across war at the hotels tucked behind Northwoods, those are going down as well.

@kraziebill :
What areas get the most calls now days. While I was living in the North End near the Friendship House, a woman was shot in our neighbor's yard. 9;15 at night I think the following year we moved to East Peoria.

@tntrecycling : I remember that call. I immediately thought I hope you or the Mrs. wasn't involved.

Nowadays there really isn't the "hotspots" like we used to have. It's pretty much all over.
If we had local media that reported local news and not just press releases, maybe the public would understand how bad things really are.
Just like the suicides....media refuse to report them. If we are ever going to combat suicide and mental health in general, it has to be talked about.

@kraziebill : While all this is happening, do you think people would speak up and reveal who is committing these crimes? Or are people afraid of retaliations or worse.
