4th Of July Food Favorites

For us, it was a chicken breast for the wife, and 3 brats on the grill yesterday, with corn on the cob and some Deviled Egg Potato salad (hoping Kroger stocks the smaller size again)
Today was iffy with rain, but grilling 2 big Pub Burgers, with baked beans and chips;
Tomorrow it's 2 pork chops from Pottstown, and 2 more brats, and more corn on the cob. Corn came from a Meyers stand in Pekin.

What's everyone else having this weekend?

PS, we're staying home, with predictions of spotty showers, and not wanting to sit on wet bleacher seats at Dragon Stadium in Pekin. Watching Cubs/Cardinals on Fox, then DC fireworks on TV.

I'm in CT and it's about to start heavy rain. I've been on the go all week and really don't want to stay any longer... I have 2 1/2 hr drive home. They are thinking we will get fireworks off between storms but radar is showing rain until 9:30. Uuuugh.

Anyway, favorite Independence Day food .. hotdogs. I rarely eat them but it's what I eat at BBQs.

I used to do pulled smoked pork and had people over to watch the Glen Oak Fireworks. Since that event has ended, I get out of town so I don't have to listen to the shitshow until 3 AM.

Was at an Iowa state campground this weekend. At 10 PM there were no fireworks. There was a sign on the post with your campsite number that fireworks were prohibited and park police would throw you out and no refund given. Believe me, that doesn't happen in Illinois parks.
