@Skimo : I detect a slight seafood theme? I'd currently rate Jonah's at the top of my list. Still undecided on the other 2.

Alexander's (Teriyaki Filet with Mushrooms, baked potato and salad bar) , Jim's Bistro (Salmon and mashed sweet potato), and Cayenne(love the Tso Good Tacos, Guacamole and Street Corn).
Sorry more info than you asked for, but I couldn't help myself. Anxiously awaiting for the question about favorite 3 restaurants outside of Peoria.

Great detective work it is a slam but more at the servers and the assumption that every will tip 20% for good service or crappy service. Alexander's prices seem to keep going up while there cuts or selection sizes keep getting smaller and smaller.

How would you know what Alexander's is like, if you can't afford to go there?
Why so grumpy?

Not trying to be off topic, but the favorite restaurants my wife and loved to go to for anniversaries were Jumers, Miller's Cliftwood in Morton, The Chateau in North Pekin, and The River Station. None exist anymore (except Blue Duck BBQ at River Station but wife's not a fan of BBQ)

I noticed that they've been doing a ton of work on the Jumers in Bloomington-Normal. I'm not sure if it's reopened yet, but it might be worth a try if you're ever out that way
