This is the line for a store in Averyville (Chicago) an hour before they open, sent from my daughter. The store is actually around the corner and down a couple of storefronts, so this line is literally around the block, and then some. It's a tiny place too, so Lord knows how long you'd have to wait to get in!

I think it's great, and if I were younger than yesterday I'd probably be there but just looking at this line makes me want to roll over and go back to bed.

If you decide to venture out, here's the list of special titles released today, all 387 of them - even Donna Summer got in on the action, and she's been dead for over 10 years!

I gave away a couple hundred cassette tapes a couple of years ago. I now have a couple hundred CD's. Definitely not ready to give those up, anytime soon.

Glad I have one machine that will play all three. I still have the first 45 I bought and quite a few cassettes to go with my CDs and regular vinyls. Ready for anything, but here I sit listening to NPR.

@PeoriaIllinoisan : It's already here and I don't understand it. Met with an associate recently who's really into collecting and listening (tube amp, ...). He tells me he's back into cassettes because of "the analogue" sound. Ok, I could see having a decent reel to reel deck. He tells me he has three RTRs. So WTF are you doing listening to cassettes in 2024!?! Even a Nakamichi Dragon sounds like **** compared to decent CD transport and DAC.
