Putin is pressuring Kazakhstan sell them fuel..... Kazakhstan has a right to be nervous.
With any nation maybe having the capability to build nuclear missiles, we have to wonder why the US hasn't put pressure on North Korea to dismantle their nuclear program? And I'm not talking about just the current administration, but going back to the Reagan administration.
Plus, I wouldn't blame other countries who wonder why only the US and Russia should have nuclear missiles.
My opinion and mine alone and not my employer's.

Some people are starting to think that Iran has the ability to carry on with things until November, 2028.
@billybob :
The war in Ukraine has shown that you don't need to big expensive toys to fight off bigger adversaries. Russia had big expensive toys... they were of limited impact. Iran, for it's part, has been suppling Russia with drones since shortly after the beginning of the conflict. They have experience with manufacturing and deploying drones. Iran also has a domestic arms industry that did not exit back in 1979. Decades of sanctions by the west have driven Iran to be much more self reliant. Their nation is much more dynamic and diverse in every way, compared to their arab neighbors. Iran has geographic advantage. Iran is very mountainous, where Iraq and Ukraine are flat. Iran's drone industry may not be as good as Ukraine's but they are going to learn fast. So can they hold out? Sure maybe. They can certainly make things difficult for Trump and Republicans through to November. Anything to distract the U.S. away from Taiwan is a good thing for China. So China helps nudge both Iran and Russia to stay in the fight... Many of these lessons should have been learned in Vietnam... but the President sat that out.

Time will reveal details... but I think Obama and Hillary Clinton saw an opportunity for reproachment with Iran. It was not Iran and the Shiites who slammed planes into the World Trade center. Those responsible were primarily Saudi who listened to the Wahhabists out of Riyad and Mecca who preached violence toward the great satan of the USA. Its was detail that Bush had to downplay in the interests of protecting the petro-dollar. The reproachment began with Obama's agreement with Iran on the nuclear question. All evidence points to Iran having been faithful to the agreement, until Trump tore it up. Trump is so obsessed with Obama... so blinded that he could not see the opportunity... even refused it. It could have been a Nixon to China moment... Here we are... and Trump is negotiating a far worse deal... with no trust by either side.

But..but...there's a funeral going on! Why would Iran (allegedly) fire missiles at tankers because of the route they were taking in the Strait? I thought the whole country was basically shut down?
Then because of the days long funeral proceeding, the caring (sarcasm) President said he wouldn't attack with missiles I thought our military was out of, or very low in supply. He lied about that, but it was retaliation.
Why is it that we're always attacking military and defense infrastructures, places the President, Hegseth, and others claim were 100% obliterated back in March? apnews.com/article/i ran-us-israel-war-oi l-4732228810c9839a12 58309ad43b8289 I seriously doubt Iran will ever allow the Strait of Hormuz to be used freely for shipping anymore like it was for a long time before bullies Benji and Donny threw their punches. I'm at the point where Iran doesn't want a peace deal, they don't want to be restricted on how they use uranium, and will still hate the USA as long as the Ayatollahs rule with an iron fist. Solutions? You tell me.

Off to the races again. Trump said the cease fire is over. Oil immediately rose about 7% and oil is now at $75 per barrel. Treasury yields are rising. Stock market is down just under 800 points. Most of the airline tickets for the summer had been sold in advance so that was really not that much of a problem. But, for the fall and holidays, the sales are looking like they will fall off a cliff.

He got his war back. How soon before we see boots hitting the ground to take out the regime? At least a few of his worshipping GOP lawmakers would be ecstatic if the US sent in troops. My opinion and mine alone and not my employer's.

@DennisinPeoria :
If there are boots on the ground coming, it will be sooner rather than later. As in then next couple of weeks, if not before.

"US President Donald Trump said the "Islamic Republic of Japan" had attacked an American aircraft carrier during the war with Iran, as he made a string of gaffes at the Nato summit in Ankara on Wednesday. His mistakes are notable as he has long attacked Joe Biden's verbal stumbles. Mr Trump criticised him again at Nato even after making a series of mistakes, saying the former president "couldn't talk, couldn't walk".
Mr Trump, 80, told an impromptu media conference alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, that: "We had 111 missiles shot by the Islamic Republic of Japan. And every one of those missiles was knocked down, pretty much most by Patriots, but by other means also." He then started talking about the 2015 nuclear deal negotiated under former president Barack Obama. The accord was known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or JCPOA. Mr Trump said he thought what he called the JCPOC was a "terrible deal". Soon after, he asked if anyone had a question for "President Putin" as he gesticulated towards Mr Zelenskyy. After reporters corrected him, he tried to recover by saying he really was asking if anyone had a question for Vladimir Putin that he could then relay to the Russian President. At another media conference later on, Mr Trump appeared to refer to the video streaming app TikTok as Tic Tac, a small sweet he is known to enjoy. And he said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was the leader of a "great company", before correcting himself to "country".

Yet MAGAs will just shrug their shoulders, say it's nothing like what Biden used to do or say, just move on.
Or claim video was edited by "Leftist Media" to make him sound bad.
It'd be interesting if any Conservative networks aired these comments, or never did.
My opinion and mine alone and I don't care what others think.
