@AverageSue :
Someone on another local blog likes to post tons of short Biden videos in an effort to claim he has dementia. 99% percent are from the RNC. And usually about 15 seconds or less, and edited out of context. But that me after watching a few.

I wonder if Trump will remember saying in 2020 how well the Continental army did with airports during the Revolutionary War.

"Cognitive testing typically takes around 15 minutes and involves "simple tasks" like spelling words backwards or repeating lists, which are used in people who've shown signs of problems with thinking, memory or other brain functions, according to the National Library of Medicine.

Though he didn't specify which test he took, a mock exam of the Montreal Cognitive Assessment-one of the most common cognitive tests-includes a similar question about identifying animals, as well as questions involving word similarity and drawing a given time on a clock.

The only math problem on the mock assessment was a serial sevens test, which requires the subject to count backwards in increments of seven, starting with the number 100."

@DennisinPeoria : Acknowledging that Doonesbury isn't funny according to @Tazewell, yep this one is too close to reality to be funny.

Riddle me this, why are tax returns not FOIA'able?

DOJ: Ex-IRS employee who leaked Trump's tax returns intentionally got job to disclose records
www.usatoday.com/sto ry/news/politics/202 4/01/17/irs-charles- littlejohn-trum
A former Internal Revenue Service contractor, who leaked tax information about Donald Trump and other wealthy individuals to news organizations, got his job to intentionally to spread the confidential records, according to Justice Department prosecutors.

...

The New York Times reported in 2020 Trump paid $750 in federal income tax the year he entered the White House and no income tax at all some years thanks to colossal losses. Six years of his returns were later released by the House Ways and Means Committee, when it was controlled by Democrats.

ProPublica reported in 2021 on a trove of tax-return data about the wealthiest Americans. It found the 25 richest people legally pay a smaller share of their income in taxes than many ordinary workers do.

@mypeez :
You should see today's Doonesbury.
Based on Trump saying he'd be a dictator on Day One. Again, they were his words, not media, which has been the case since 2015, yet he claims media is fake news.

My opinion on current cases against DJT:
E. Jean Carroll: yes, she's been awarded $83.3 million, good luck if she sees $10,000 of it. DJT will appeal, appeal, all the way to the buddies he appointed to SCOTUS. Even threaten them with removal if he wins POTUS (even though he really can't, but that won't stop him)
A civil case, NOT a witch-hunt.

2. NY Business fraud case. Could be wrapped up in a few days. Likely more fines, no jail time. Another endless appeal situation. He may lose business license for NYC. Another civil case, NOT a witch-hunt.

3. Georgia Election interference. A jury interpreting that phone call by hearing audio or reading transcript could go either way. I think he tried to convince the SOS, personally. There was no fraud, no matter how other videos were edited to look that way. A state criminal case (although DJT tried to move it to federal) NOT a witch-hunt.

4. January 6 attack on the Capitol. Those supporters who attended morning rally probably didn't intend to break in (Capitol
was still closed to general public due to Covid, BTW). If Pence had given in to DJT about returning Certification to the States, would there have been an attack? No, when marchers found out Pence's decision to proceed, that's what set them off, and perhaps groups like Proud Boys and others egging them on. DJT could be innocent on that end. BUT, he did NOTHING to stop the attack. He could have went on air nationwide immediately to tell his supporters to back off. He could have called in National Guard and used tear gas and riot forces to disperse the crowd. He did not immediately, only to appear hours later to tell crowd to leave. Guilty on this part? I think so.
Also, those GOP lawmakers that supported DJT, but scurried away in fear like everyone else; then claimed those people in Capitol were "tourists": bet they didn't think that when they were escorted to safety. Otherwise, why didn't they go "greet them" as they ransacked the offices?
A Federal case. But 50/50 on it being a Witch-hunt.

5. Mar-A-Lago WH Documents
This one is a federal case, definitely NOT a witch-hunt. Evidence overwhelming that he took documents meant for the National Archives. Including classified ones he claims he could declassify "in his mind". OMG. His compound was searched ONLY because he refused to return documents even after repeated requests. And it's alleged that he asked a staff person to erase video files showing boxes. (Yes, documents were found in Biden's and Pence's properties, but their lawyers IMMEDIATELY made sure they were returned, no matter what Right wingers say) This is the ONE case that will (hopefully) bring DJT a guilty verdict. And before the election. But with the judge overseeing this particular case being a DJT appointee, not likely.

Dennis, for the appeal, in order to appeal, he has to put down the award amount + 9%. Does he have that much liquid cash?? And has 30 days to file appeal.

I am still stunned about trump mixing up Haley and Pelosi. And it wasn't a gaffe. He repeated her name many times, and was targeting her because it's the primaries. How in the world can he think Haley was in Pelosi's position on Jan 6?? How can he not know that he he didn't run against Obama??? More than once he mentions Obama being his opponent. His speeches are more and more incoherent. Beyond gaffes. Way beyond.

Trump is a raving lunatic right now. He can't hide who he really is to people that are aware. He does however have a large portion of people fooled enough to continue to give him their support, and for the life of me I just can not understand that mentality.
Trump never talks about his political beliefs, or plans if he is somehow re-elected. Instead Trump talks of revenge and retribution, pardons and clearing his criminal behavior, taking and keeping power. He claims things will just be better, but he never explains how, or why. Just more of his B.S.
Trump is the least presidential person to EVER hold the office of President of the United States.

Trump Pharma

In the months running up to the election, Dr. Ronny Jackson was distributing thousands of pills to the White House staff, including Fentanyl, Provigil, Ambien, Morphine, Ketamine, and Hydrocodone. A new DoD report claims that they were given to 'ineligible' recipients.
