Will never forget the time we went to Costco and it happened that he was having an appearance there about his book. We stayed and saw him. He is so unbelievably humble. I am sure that it was his humility and his calmness, along with his expertise, that also helped guide that plane to a landing in the Hudson River. After it landed in the Hudson he walked the length of the plane twice to be sure everyone was off before he got off. The Costco is walking distance to the Pentagon so there were a lot of military people at the appearance. It iwas really interesting to see their reaction of awe to his humility.

I heard him speak a few months ago and was blown away.

The world could use a lot more humility.

@leslie110 I have a couple of reasons..1) I don't find it that great of a story that it needed a movie made from it..granted..he landed a plane in the river..and all of that happened a few minutes after take off...not sure what the movie is covering..and I don't think Tom Hanks was a good hire for the lead...lol..not sure why of that either..

I jumped to this thread when I saw it thinking it was about Mike "Sully" Sullivan.

Tom Hanks is starring, Clint Eastwood is directing...that's good enough for me.
