Headache Relief

Anyone have any remedies for headaches. I have had a headache since late Tuesday night. I have taken an over the counter pain reliever, slept, etc. Noise and light aren't bothering me.

Lots of water. sometimes simple dehydration can cause a headache, especially in this heat...

If you have taken an OTC pain reliever (like aspirin, Tylenol, or ibuprofen) for four days and haven't noticed any relief, you might want to see a doctor.... it could be high blood pressure, or your eye sight, or ??????

Sinuses. Mine have been whack since it got hot and humid. I feel the pressure and if wasn't for a good amount is Claritin, my brain would be throbbing.

@ginaknows I have been taking daily Magnesium supplement for over a year now, haven't had a migraine in over 8 months. Make sure to ask your Dr. first and also, how is your blood pressure?

1. Chiropractor--could be your neck out of alignment if it isn't related to high blood pressure or something else. My chiropractor cured my migraines many years ago. A good one is well worth it.

2. Food allergies--wheat does this to me. I get a headache for days.

Thanks everyone. I still have a slight headache as of this reply. I will try another night's rest and if I still have no relief off to the dr tomorrow.

This happened to me several years ago. It can happen if women are near the change. I could not shake a headache. It got so severe I went to the emergency room. The ER nurse gave me a tip which i have never forgotten. She said the recommended doses of ibuprofen on the otc bottles is way too low. She said at the first sign of a headache pop 3 or 4 and nip it in the bud. Don't let the pain get ahead of itself or it can be hard to shake. Ever since then I have practiced her advice, and I never have a headache that lasts longer than the first does of 3 - 4 ibuprofen. Good luck.

most of my headaches are due to alignment (thanks for recommending that, froggy!) or dehydration/hangover. The ones I have for days tend to be alignment problems.
