So, Will Farrell is slated to star in a movie about President Reagan....during his Alzheimers years? And it's a comedy??

I recently got slammed here for using a term referring to people who might be mentally deficient (not that I was making fun of them at all).

Will you all join me in denouncing people who would make fun of an Alzheimers sufferer??

Would definitely be a delicate (if not impossible) topic, but it's an interesting concept:

" the screenplay opens at the start of the then-president’s second term when he falls into dementia. An ambitious intern is tasked with convincing the commander-in-chief that he is an actor playing the president in a movie.

The script has been floating around for a very long time with no takers. It is interesting that now since Nancy Reagan has passed that there seems to be renewed interest, of sorts, in this project.No director had ever signed on to it and many had passed on it. In addition there was no financing in place or even remotely forthcoming. I very, very seriously doubt this movie will ever be made.

If a movie of this subject would ever be produced, it should NOT be in a 'comedy' format.
