The Hitching Post on Farmington Rd appears to be being getting a makeover.

Its had a few iterations over the years, including a hookah lounge, but has been closed for quite some time now. Whether that stretch of road can handle another bar at this point remains to be seen, but I wish them the best of luck.

Used to be a go-to place of mine in early 1980's, along with Rocky's (now Country Club BBQ). I recall eating at either place at times while enjoying a beer or 2 or 3. But I was a big video/pinball game fanatic back then too.
Hitching Post most recently was called "K-something", and had seen it's share of gun violence and fighting unfortunately. Because I've gone down there and getting video shots after an incident.
Wishing the new owner success in reopening it and having another choice, especially for Bradley students 21 and over.

DennisinPeoria : I'm not sure about that. I recently learned that some of the downtown bars are underage too.
