DFRs In The Air

DFRs In The AirDrones and drone technology has come a long way. Now, law enforcement can use drones as "first responders". (DFR) Not to replace actual police response, but getting to a scene quicker and provide video of what's happening in a neighborhood. Help police know what they're running into.
Peoria police is testing such a new system, an upgrade from an officer having to haul a drone with them, get it in the air, and maintain visibility.
Andy Kravetz and I were at PPD for interview with the Chief on another matter, and he showed us the operation and how it works. Here is what I put together in the video:
