Hasn't been done on 150 years, depiction of a living person on currency. According to the article, there's a federal law against putting a face on currency of a living person.Edit: Excerpt from AP article when Treasury Secretary Bessent displayed a mockup:

Seriously, THIS time you're letting Congress do some work? I kind of expected Donny-Boy to simply issue another EO. Because with this administration, nobody cares about laws anymore. Just worshipping the temporary WH resident.
