Gas Prices on the Rise!

Gas at Thornton's in Creve Coeur had dropped from 4.19 to 4.17, then 4.09. Wife said Pekin went back up to 4.29 when she filled her mom's car. Fortunately the 2 Casey's in NP were 4.09, so I filled up. Of course, most of Peoria is still 4.29.

For the most part, the highest I've seen is $3.999/gal, but most of the stations were $3.899/gal. I think the all time high in DFW is around $4.099 or maybe $4.199.With the ceasefire and other chaos lately, it ended up dropping a bit to as low as $3.199 in a few places, but even those places have shot back up to $3.699/gal here. More stations will likely follow tomorrow.I'm guessing with the last 2 oil ships arriving this week, it'll continue to rise…

The problem isn't the ships arriving with oil.... the problem are the 100s of ships without oil that are arriving. Oil goes to the highest bidder... those ships are taking supply out of our supply chain.

FWIW, Union 76 and Hucks out by Willow Knolls is up to 4.49! Gas stations closer to mall and Beachlers are still 4.29. Got my work vehicle filled up just in case everyone else decides to do more gouging for their oil barons.

@MadScientist : The heavier crude is needed for diesel. West Texas Intermediate is supposedly less productive for diesel... good for gasoline and other lighter products.

Costco is at 3.99. I guess as long as there is not a red hood on the pump nozzle, we just keep paying the price.

Not just gas prices that are going up. Anything that involves petroleum or oil you can expect to pay more for.

No opinion, just an FYI.

Whatever is happening overseas isn't helping gas prices here. Most stations close to work jumped to $4.49. Marathon across from Richwoods high School is $4.55.And any rhetoric from the WH administration apparently isn't helping either.

I think I'm going to put a sign in my yard apologizing to my neighbors that at this price, I'm only mowing my grass once a month.

Gas Buddy is showing at least 7 stations have regular unleaded at this price.$4.999/gal has to be an all time record high for regular unleaded in Peoria.Here in DFW, I just noticed about 10 minutes ago that one of the QuikTrips is now $3.999/gal. Previous price was $3.699. I'll have to tomorrow what the agreed upon price will be!
