Roll Out The Barrels 2019 version
Yay, it's Spring again!! Yay, it's time for Road Construction again!! (Oops!)
1. Looks like West Washington in EP is going to get some work done. They have the same numerous flat barricades on the grass by Hardee's that were used along Knoxville last year. That section from 4 Corners down to the railroad tracks and beyond really needs a total redo.
2. A lighted sign on Peoria side of Bob Michel Bridge indicates that work is beginning there on March 25th. Just hope they don't decide to work on another bridge AT THE SAME TIME!!
3. This is a minor one, but they are installing new stop lights at Route 24 and Cameron Lane. So speed limit in that area approaching is 45 mph. Sign indicates the lights will be activated Tuesday, March 26th.
4. The construction project that seems to never end, I-474 by Bartonville Exit, LOOKS like it might be almost done, but who knows. In the meantime, I haven't seen any signs that any Shade-Lohman bridge work is about to begin. Now, if they can redo the entrance and exit ramps from Rt. 24 onto I-474.....
That's all I've seen so far, haven't been out to Washington or Germantown Hills area for awhile; mostly Mapleton, Airport road area, Morton and Tremont during work.
Feel free to add if you have seen any upcoming construction signs.
