"Praise Be To Allah"

Ok, just joking, just like the WH guy apparently has in TS posts and speeches, making fun of it.

But it seems that MAGAs and Conservatives are worried about the Democratic candidate for Michigan Senate, Abdul El-Sayed, because of his Muslim faith, would have more loyalties towards the alleged terrorist group Muslim Brotherhood than the Constitution.
apnews.com/article/m ichigan-senate-debat e-final-2cd2f8638252 11d1e4f620a8928

"The most contentious exchange came when Rogers again tried to link El-Sayed to the Muslim Brotherhood, repeating an allegation he and Trump have raised in recent weeks. El-Sayed has denied any affiliation with the group.
"If you are going to go to the United States Senate, we need to know: Are you for America, or are you for these terrorist groups overseas?" Rogers said.
El-Sayed, who would be the country's first Muslim senator, called Rogers' questioning of his commitment to the Constitution "shameful.""

Those who are afraid if he gets elected that he'll push for Muslim laws in America need to remember this:
1. There are 5 members of the House that are of Muslim faith. I don't think any of them have pushed for Islam to be a national religion, or filed legislation to force Sharia law on the US. The reality is that many flee those countries because they HATE and OPPOSE Sharia law. They prefer freedom.

2. A young boy growing in Indonesia with a strong Muslim upbringing, then moved to Hawaii living with white grandparents and his Kansas-born mom; ended up becoming a community organizer in Chicago, attended a Baptist church for 20 years...later was elected President. But because Barack Obama has a Muslim-sounding middle name, many far right conservatives tried to finger him as making the US an Islamic nation, and ordering Sharia law.
Did they admit they were wrong when he left office in 2017 with none of that happening? Of course not.
It's better and more fun to do fear mongering than admit their mistake.
But that's my opinion and mine alone and not my employer's.

Criticism grows over Ramaswamy attack ad featuring Amy Acton's mother
Several Ohio politicians have taken to social media to condemn an attack ad against Amy Acton that featured her estranged mother.

A chorus of condemnation from some Ohio politicians is growing against Ohio Republican gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy over an attack ad produced by his campaign that featured his opponent's estranged mother criticizing her and questioning the years of abuse she endured as a child.

The ad, which has not been aired on television but spread on social media, shows Dr. Amy Acton's estranged mother, Donna Stearns Arthur, criticizing Acton, calling her a liar and casting doubt on Acton's upbringing. Acton has been estranged from Arthur since 1978 when her stepfather, Cledith Arthur, faced a rape charge for sexually assaulting Acton when she was 12 years old.

Cledith died in southern Pennsylvania and was never convicted of the charge, and Acton's mother stayed married to him until his death.

A clip of the ad, which blogger The Rooster shared on social media on Oct. 19, shows Arthur accusing her daughter of lying about Acton's upbringing, which included homelessness, neglect and abuse, and urging Ohioans not to vote for Acton. "It's not easy for a mother to say this, but Amy has a serious problem," Arthur says in the ad. "She is a liar. She lies about her past."

Acton's brother, Phillip Stearns, condemned the ad, and said Ramaswamy "stooped to a despicable low" in attempting to turn Acton's abuse into a "political talking point."

"After [Cledith] was arrested and Amy and I were removed from their custody, our birth mother stayed married to Amy's rapist until he died," Stearns said of Arthur. "This desperate, disgusting attack reveals exactly who Vivek Ramaswamy is at his core - a pathetic excuse for a man who is willing to hurt anyone as long as it gets him what he wants."

mypeez :
Good question, I wasn't aware that Dr. Oz was of Muslim faith. But he's not in Congress, and his position really can't be used to force Muslim or Sharia law into the US.

Cultures from one land to another. Indians lived here and their ways of life. Then came Caucasian man pillaging and plundering everything. Bringing the African culture. Later, we saw Latin culture arrive and be embraced. We never had Spanish-speaking phones forcing a choice, nor did we ever have to decide which language to speak. The cultures have always been there the voice is becoming louder.

DennisinPeoria : Hello McFly, Dr. Oz, a Muslim ran for the same US Senate as Dr. El-Sayed. He in PA, the other in MI. Why was it not an issue then, but is an issue now with the GOP?

mypeez :
Again, I don't keep up with Dr. Oz's life events, only when he had his syndicated TV show, and he got named to work with RFK, Jr at HHS. Apparently his Muslim background didn't matter for that job either. Pathetic for the GOP, but that's my opinion.
