Safety is probably better in an enclosed area. Wonder how much it cost to do it from MetroCenter? Closed streets, police escort, etc. may by eliminated if all done within Dozer Park.

Not everyone thinks it's safe down there. I guarantee they'll lose a lot of people.I don't follow the event so I don't know how it has been doing. I'll put on my optimist hat and say, maybe change is good. They obviously moved for a reason. Hell, it wouldn't surprise me to hear the Metro is screwing them over.

Here's a good answer I read on Facebook.That event has pretty much disappeared. A few years back it had so many people that it filled the Metro Centre. Now you barely know it's going on. It seems all the "walk for" events have run their course as major community fundraisers. They have gone the way of telethons.
