Solar Power vs. Coal Power

We all know the views of solar and wind power by the current WH administration. I sometimes wonder if part of the reason has to do with the coal industry making GOP campaign contributions and heavy lobbying for reviving the coal industry.
Nonetheless, apparently solar is outranking coal even a little bit as far as power output vs. coal. Keep in mind, natural gas is still #1, and nuclear is #2.

Interesting article excerpt here:
"States won by Trump in the 2024 election accounted for 74% of all solar capacity installed in the first quarter of 2026, with Texas, Florida, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona and Mississippi ranking among the top 10 states for new solar additions, SEIA said. The U.S. now exceeds a total of 6 million installations nationwide across all solar sectors, which includes large-scale solar arrays, commercial, community solar and residential or rooftop solar. "

I been seeing more and more solar fields pop up in the country. There's two, one on each side of Rt. 9 going into Tremont from Springfield Road.
It's just too bad the Big WH guy and all his loyalists and MAGAs can't see that solar is the future. Countries in Europe developed ways to install solar fields that don't take up farmland too.

My opinion and mine alone and no one else.

The right is convinced that fossil fuels are the most efficient. Goes right along with their belief that capitalism is great 👍
