Trump told the media today "I don't care if Iran negotiations are over" and oil jumped 6% after he said it. #msg1946909

NO. Some people are also concerned that Trumps optimistic remarks about peace talks are way, way overly optimistic. Furthermore , he seems to make them right before the market opens which is a bigger concern.

With the stock markets recently soaring to record highs, I finally checked my 401k levels. Surprised that I gained about 5k since the end of March. So I guess I have to be grateful for the current administration in influencing that. Just hope that nothing happens to make the DOW and S&P to suddenly drop.

Meanwhile, the working poor, that don't own stock, fell even farther behind.

Either a gas war is happening, or the local gas cartel can't control Pekin's prices. Yesterday and today, most in Pekin were $4.29, with one at 4.39. A little further north in N. Pekin and Creve Coeur, it's 4.62. I can understand a dime or .15 difference, but .33? Of course, I'm sure Peoria is still higher than that. (Not to be rude, but I know Costco's gas is a lot cheaper, but not everyone is a member of Costco to get that price.)

@DennisinPeoria: We have entered uncharted territory where gas prices seem to be whatever the gas station thinks is appropriate. I don't think gas prices are tied to the actual cost anymore. I have some stations near me in DFW that are still over $4 a gallon, when BJ's and a few other stations a mile away are as low as $3.199.
