We overpacked so we had to take our Odyssey after all. At least the gas prices are noticeably cheaper out here, but it still stings.

Years ago I had a 3-cylinder Geo Metro that "only" got 38-42 mpg because it had the 3-speed automatic. That car was amazing. I put about 70,000 miles on that car when I had it and it never needed repairs aside from regular maintenance.

@CCubs : A fair question. Someone approached me with an offer to buy it for about three times what it was worth. As much as I enjoyed the car, with about 160k miles I wondered how long my lucky streak would last, and I did have another car to drive so off it went.
