The girls basketball coach at the catholic high school RESIGNED? Uh oh. He didn't retire, nor did he just step away from, or pause, he RESIGNED. There's got to be more to this story. I wonder what he did, or more likely, who did he **** off at the Diocese? They have their own way of dealing with things. Did they force his hand? Is there something we're not supposed to know? What are they hiding? THIS CAN NOT BE GOOD.

Langholf said he's going to be spending more of his time with his wife, Maureen, and family while they support their son, Dylan, who is battling a recurrence of rhabdomyosarcoma - a cancer found in soft tissues like muscle, blood vessels or tendons.

"It's been a rough couple of years for all of us," Layne said. "... I need to be home and help Dylan get through this next battle. That needs to be where my focus is ... my family right now."

If you click on the article, like I did, the headline uses the much less dramatic phrase "steps away from."

Shame on the Journal Star.

Indeed, the Peoria Diocese has an extraordinarily weird way of dealing with some issues. Though, in recent years some things have gotten a little bit better,

However, I would not totally rule out it is something to do with the sons cancer. Especially, if the son is going to be treated out of town, which some people think is the case or at least a strong possibility.
