"Solar Power vs. Coal Power
We all know the views of solar and wind power by the current WH administration. I sometimes wonder if part of the reason has to do with the coal industry making GOP campaign contributions and heavy lobbying for reviving the coal industry.
Nonetheless, apparently solar is outranking coal even a little bit as far as power output vs. coal. Keep in mind, natural gas is still #1, and nuclear is #2.

Caught Sammy Hagar in concert last night in St Louis. He was starting the summer tour here. Sounded and got around pretty damned good for 78 year old guy. Didn't sing Dreams and a few other songs with the super high notes as he even admitted he can't do it anymore. "Stormy Weather
Lots around Peoria area, with Chillicothe getting really hit earlier today. Power outage in most of town, trees down; Sister in law on W. Rome Road was out of power for several hours. I was sent there, got video of a couple power lines down, and a huge tree blocking Cloverdale road.
Saw pics of trees down in Pekin.
But tonight, numerous tornadoes in Springfield, Sangamon County, and Macon County. One tornado hit an animal shelter just north of the State Fairgrounds...and less than a mile..."
