I got a job offer on Thursday...I gave my notice to my current job of almost 11 years!! It is the biggest/hardest decision I've made in my life since I've been w/ the company since I graduated college.
Oh, and my boss & his boss are trying to get me to reconsider(something my boss said he rarely does) because I'm told I'm a huge asset to the company...my coworkers still don't know bc he said he is going to ask me again to reconsider on Monday. Unfortunately, even money can't change my mind. My job has literally made me physically sick...chest pain isn't normal, esp foe a fit person in early 30's!! Amongst other minor physical ailments to prob be resolved w/ new job!
As much as I was unhappy & extremely, extremely stressed, I realize I was also bored. I've been trying for years to get out & nothing I interviewed for over the years panned out (either I'd decline or they would).
It couldn't have come at a better time(stuff had been dumped on me)...I'm nervous but excited for a new challenge & new skills & to grow myself & new company.
Oh and my personal life couldn't be better too.
I feel so blessed!!!
