My name is **** ****. When I was in my senior year of high school I took a college-level course on medical terminology sponsored by Illinois Central College. Upon high school graduation I received my BA in biology in May 2009 from Wartburg College in Waverly, IA. Currently I am living at home and am looking for a position in clerical or reception work, possibly in the medical field.

I am recently coming from a five month part time job at Wildlife Prairie State Park near my hometown of Peoria, IL. It caters to Illinois native animals, past and present. I was in the education department and had the opportunity to create many programs for visitors and present pre-made discussions for field trips. I spent a good portion of my time answering phone calls requesting different activities and booking for individuals and groups and keeping books to organize the requests and planned and paid for activities.

I had a five month education internship as a Summer Naturalist at the Natural History Museum of the Adirondacks, also known as The Wild Center. I worked there from May 2011-September 2011. Early in my time with them I was provided with the training to become a Certified Interpretive Guide through the National Association of Interpretation. I utilized those skills to the fullest by regularly creating my own programs and guided hikes for the visitors. I corresponded over the phone with multiple groups in the area to acquire information for my presentations during my stay there.

From August 2010-Dec 2010, I was an instructor at YMCA Camp Thunderbird’s Environmental Education Center in Lake Wylie, SC. My primary duties there were to teach a variety of classes to children aged 6-16. I also had the opportunity to take care of the camp’s wildlife room. My employers trusted me to orchestrate the veterinary care over the phone for some of our animals.
