I'd ask everyone to turn off their ignore button for a few days so we can share this loss as a community 😞

This is very sad news. At the height of the blogging craze he was always willing to help a newbie such as myself out with coding and the like. Always had to check what Billy, CJ and PeoriaIllinoisan were posting about. Blog on forever, Billy.

@ChefKevin DittoBill mentored me to start in 2004 and no matter how bad we fought he was always a friend 😢

He got me started blogging as well...it was short lived but it was fun while it lasted.

I think Billy was the original "Citizen Journalist". At least around here.

@VonsterPeo Got it...I thought you were trying to make sure everyone on PDC was aware of Billy's passing by ensuring people could see the post, but I couldn't believe anyone would have MsGem on ignore.As someone on FB mentioned, a lot of us know each other, online or in real life, because of Billy.

He talked incessantly and was full of opinions, but not without reason. He loved his parents and sitting at Starbucks (we have this in common)
I gave him a ride home from Ptown soup a couple of times. I hoped he passed with little pain. And I hope some of himself and Peoria will live on through his writing. Rest In Peace Billy...
