Should BOOM cars be given a pass in Peoria??

On the nextdoor site seems to leaning toward cutting them slack since they are doing no harm and not hurting anybody. The fact peoria is the worse place for folks of color they should get a pass and NOT have to deal with the legal issues of their actions.

Well, true. Boom cars aren't launching rocks at my head or robbing stores or whatever other crime could happen.

But I don't think I'd want one parked near my house rattling my walls and windows while I'm trying to enjoy time on my porch or gardening.

@JeepPilot

I have found that some of these ones whom own these Boom cars are people who do the things you listed true the car is not the problem.

Why should I have to listen to the neighbor who is always loud and listen to the rap about how they kill or destroy palaces they live.

Seems to me letting ones rule will cause problems for others.

Boom cars.

Let's address the racism BOOM, that the nation now knows we have, firstly.

Then the lack of leadership, jobs and economic opportunity.

Boom cars, right.

NOT racism have no clue who the driver is the D@MN car literally makes booming sounds from all the sheet metal rattling and shaking. Hard to tell who is driving when I'm sitting in my house when the windows start rattling from the car going by. So STOP with the RACE CARD CRAP every time someone complains and there may be a black person involved its racist to point out the problem. Even though they are the one's causing it themselves nobody is making them crank it up so loud can hear it blocks away.

The police department doesn't have the resources to chase down boom cars. It has been, from the beginning, an unfunded and largely unenforceable regulation. The Police don't have the staff to deal with it, so it goes unenforced.

Economic development, that raises taxable revenue for the city is what is needed.

Not veiled extortion.

Sagging laws, boom music and littering, along with groups of young unemployed Black guys standing on street corners.

A Black Peoria Mayor, might better understand.

Go Vote, for Thomas.

These are issues that SCARE folks away you forgot to mention when the group makes either lewd comment to women or calls people Cracker as you try to go to the business to buy from them. Only has to happen one time to make people NOT want to go there to spend money.

I don't have Boom here its Spanish or Mariachi related. down the street 3 homes its Loud mouthed people day or night. I have come to the conclusion they cant hear each other or want everyone to know their business. Boom only drives by now and then.
