So the high and mighty Dan O'Day is all chuffed because Sid Ruckriegel has indicated that he wants to serve the full term of what's left of the vacancy, eh?

Sid Ruckriegel, who has got in there, rolled up his sleeves, and has done an amazing number of things to show his support for the East Bluff.

And the Mighty Dan O'Day has his knickers in a wad because Sid wants to serve the "full term" of "the vacancy".

SMDH.

Where do these people come from?????

@QuispNQuake Day cites a 2003 court case that there can be no voter confusion. It looks like if he can win with his objection to Sid he can knock a couple of others off the ballot.

I find Millers objections to Ardis interesting. Taking a page from Manning's petitions, Jim not being the actual petitioner, and not including wife's salary in economic interests.

Does Manning actually live in the 5th and was he interested in running for a council seat?

@Byron : Which is why The Mighty Dan O'Day looks like he's got his panties in a bunch because God forbid someone forgot to cross a "t" on a form.

In other words, he looks like a stupid jerk for doing this, especially towards someone who has been hands-on with the East Bluff, not to mention very accessible to those who have needed him.

O'Day is trying to take away one of the most helpful council members to ever show concern for the challenging areas of Peoria. Way to go O'Day!! You don't have the concern for the greater good of Peoria on your mind!

You obviously have some sort of agenda, O'Day. Besides getting your lace panties out of their wad.

Manning lives in the third and the last time I talked to him (2-3 months ago) he wasn't moving or running for election. Maybe that changed. However, the article did note that the petition did not come from him. I hope we haven't seen the last of Bob Manning in Peoria politics, especially in the third (since I live there and thought he was by far the best council person I've had since I moved here in '95).

So, why are the people in the 5th petitioning to get someone who (I believe) still lives in the 3rd to represent them? Aren't they *****ing about Casey Johnson who lives out of the 5th district he represents? I'd stay out of the 5th...there must be something strange in the air there.

I bet The Mighty Dan O'Day is in cahoots with the "I Have An Agenda" Elaine Hopkins. If you look at the first comment in the first article of the PJ Star, look who made it!

Then take a look at the candidate Agenda Elaine is sucking up to. No, this has NOTHING TO DO with the fact that the guy is Muslim!

It has EVERYTHING to do with the fact that this thing stinks to high heaven, and one can only ask WHY???

Check out Agenda Elaine's story below. The Mighty Dan's lace panties and Agenda Elaine's BVDs make quite a pair!

And no, I'm not shutting up about this! If there's one thing I can't tolerate, it's someone (O'Day) abusing power.

Especially over something so petty that only a small, pea-(brained sized, but that's not the word I wanted to use) attorney would latch on to for an obvious agenda!

@QuispNQuake
Ruckriegel will probably survive. walraven might get clipped. if you feel bad for anyone it probably should be the ones who might actually get left off the ballot.

he listed a residence outside the city.

@ricardo : He lives in an apartment complex. It seems to me this entire time he thought he was living within the boundaries of Peoria County. My guess is that he dropped out because he obviously knew that if that rule was broken, he couldn't fight it.

Honestly ricardo, I seriously doubt Nichols filed under "dishonest" circumstances". Why? Because look how much this whole thing stinks like a corpse! Look how petty, how nitpicky, how anal, how pompous O'Day is acting.

What a total complete display of acting like a spoiled jerk throwing a tantrum, because someone doesn't like the candidates.

This thing reads "agenda" all over it. And no one in Peoria is getting the whole story.

Can I also say that Nichols is African-American? Oh heck, I'll say it. Why not? Might as well throw it in the mix! I sure did live long enough in Peoria to know quickly that there sure did exist a certain segment of "elites" living there.

And no, I don't take those words back. Because it's true. Not saying it's the motive in this case, but I'm sure as heck going to point it out.
