Be safe out there, I'm going to attempt mowing front yard in 2 parts with break in between. Can't wait until later tonight, have a Church Council Meeting. Going to try big back yard in the morning around 8 am before work.

@DennisinMH : STOP! It's not going to grow much right now. Is it THAT important?

I wouldn't mow the grass when it's this hot. It's going to go dormant in this heat.

You haven't seen how tall my grass is, lol. Between work schedules (lots of early call-ins), rain and high humidity, I haven't mowed for over 2 weeks. I did get out there when sun went behind clouds; but since I don't use a catcher (back flap closed for mulching), grass was clumping up, shutting mower off, forcing restarts. Then I was trying to go slow along curb, wheels slipped on me, and blade made a spark and got bent. Next trip will be to Farm and Fleet tomorrow to see if they can bend it out, or sell me an actual mulch blade.

Already in house on first break mowing front yard. Probably could have lowered the wheels one notch, but at least it won't be as tall. Going back out to finish main part from sidewalk to house.

Done. Good thing my front yard has a decent amount of shade. Tomorrow, if the predicted scattered rains hold off, I'll tackle the back yard.

Well, looks like not only humans are trying to stay cool. This visitor comes to our backyard almost on a daily basis.

Seriously, during this kind of weather code enforcement is not going to ticket anyone for lawns.

@joepyeweed : But I'm rather enjoying going against your recommendations as a means of torturing grass for growing so much this spring. :D

So ready for a break in the humidity. Grass needs mowing as well. @DennisinMH : Your yard looks great and I am sure that those little furry ones thing the same. Thanks for sharing.
