@pictureme1 : I was bummed when Kaye Ballard died a few weeks ago. She was 93. We watched "Mothers-In-Law" all the time in the '60s.

@pictureme1 : The Doris Day Animal League is still going strong. Don't know if she is still actively involved in it or not. She was somewhat of a regular around the Hill for a long time lobbying for the cause. It has been a long time since she has been seen there.

One of my favorites will always be "Young At Heart", with Frank Sinatra. Oh and "Pillow Talk", with Rock Hudson.
She was the "girl next door" type I always admired and tried to live up to. On film and in reality.

Breaking news is that Doris Day passed away at the age of 97. She had been suffering from a very severe case of pneumonia.

@billybob : Yes, I belong to her Facebook fan group and they announced she had passed away today due to a bout with pneumonia. Sadly, her only child Terry Melcher had passed away several years ago, and, her only surviving family was Terry's son with whom Doris had no relationship due to Terry's ex-wife not allowing Doris to be a part of her grandson's life. Such a sad situation all around. RIP, Doris Day😢
