Nice. This reminds me, I need to recap my Yamaha T-85 one of these days. I never had a good steady soldering hand and need to pick up a vacuum extractor to keep the PCB clean(er).
May have to follow your lead I got an old scanner that needs the power plug resoldered to the board. I tried once but bad hand day so gave up may try again.
