So... The Chicago Tribune thinks it may have the secret KFC recipe. Has anyone tried it?

Nope...

My family makes excellent fried chicken, my grandma worked at the Grand Hotel in Bloomington for MANY years making the chicken, so there is no place that can stack up. When we were in Hilton Head my mom and aunt ordered fried chicken at a fancy place (they soaked it in buttermilk then cooked it in a plastic bag then fried it?) and it didn't even come close to my mom's. We went to a famous restaurant in Nashville (the name is totally escaping me right now) and I ordered the fried chicken and gave my mom a bite...her first reaction was 'the oil is too old'. I think I have ordered my last fried chicken at a restaurant.

The absolute best fried chicken anywhere is Florida Ave. Grill. They have even seen a few KFCs come and go in their neighborhood. Florida Ave. Grill lives on with lines out the door and they could still go to a KFC faster than the line sometimes moves.

By Meron “Mimi” Ghebre (Aug 2013)

“How was work dear? You look like you’re just about ready to throw in the towel,” Bertha said to her husband, Lacey C. Wilson Sr., after a long day of work. Wilson was holding down a job on Capitol Hill as a shoeshine man. He had been saving his tips, but it wasn’t for a new suit, or pearls for Bertha. Lacey had a dream that was even greater than anything materialistic. Lacey had a vision that he was determined to see brought to life and he was willing to work as hard as he could to make it happen. He envisioned a restaurant that felt like home; where the customers were friends, where you could get a soulfully, home-cooked meal for an affordable price. Lacey envisioned a place where blacks could come and enjoy a meal comfortably without being harassed during a time where the nation was filled with racial tension. Lacey wanted to create a home away from home, where people of different races, social standings, and even religions could sit side by side and have a meal.

In this age of lies and corruption one has to wonder.....

Are the 11 herbs and spices merely to hide the fact it'snot really chicken?
