Many, many time usually on the way to Steak N Shake. . The picture is from 1980 but I remember it long before that.

All the pics from Peoria Library off of the Facebook page.
I walked this bridge a lot even when it was cold.
 
Remember cars stuck,,,, ones running off. Even people jumping. Steak n Shake there is a someone that works at the new one that started at the old one. Known him for years.

I know who are talking about. I think he is the longest serving employee in the chain. One time we were there and he wasnt and I asked about him. I thought maybe he was gone but it was his day off.

We were his 10:30 crowed nightly for years. After all the dinners closed.

In recent years we have seen him a bit earlier. A long time ago time we left Peoria around 6AM and we went there for breakfast. It was either that or Perkins--no thanks. It seems to me that he was getting off work around that time. So he either worked all night or worked a double shift. He is very, very friendly and a great employee too.

He still works 3rd shift also just recently got one of them divorces. Some of the late night stories he has are priceless. We were there on night all the WWF wrestlers came in, this was in the late 80`s
