I could really see this working IF only they would STOP killing Black People.
What is the ratio of
Other ethnic groups killing black.

I look at it we were all made the same way colors are for flowers not race. Once you bring color into it that's Racist.

Time to become Brothers and Sister in love not hate and violence.

How many black on black murders are there would be a good question. Seems they are in the street blocking traffic?????

I don't believe they're in the street. Ford donated a bunch of money, this was likely an event and the vehicle is likely a Ford. I sincerely hope they use some of the reported $1M they raised to address black on black violence as well. I have said in other posts and I'll repeat it here, I believe they have some legitimate grievances. This event seems like a step in the right direction to address them, rather than burning down a few businesses following what by all rights appears to be a justified police shooting.

You might not find it so ridiculous if you were a black person.

@joepyeweed : I guess I might but that wouldn't make it any less true.

If they want to protest again the people killing blacks they need a mirror.

@VonsterPeo :

Yes, because all black people are responsible for the crimes of all black people.

AND the difference is, when black people kill each other, the murderer is often arrested, convicted and serves time in jail.

When a police officer kills a suspect, they are often not prosecuted (and in many cases rightly so). The problem as perceived by the black community is that officers are given a free pass on killing suspects. The police officer becomes judge, jury and executioner and that is violation of their constitutional rights, whether the person is guilty of a crime or not.

So do you think its okay for police to shoot an unarmed man running away from a traffic stop in the back?

or is it okay for a cop to shoot first and ask questions later, (ie the young boy who had a toy gun, was shot within seconds of the police arriving on the scene)

I don't care what color the cop is or the suspect; black, white, brown or purple, that is some messed up ****.

When did you attend the police academy weed? Have you been a sworn officer since then? How many arrests have you made?

You're out of your depth commenting on the toy gun, unless you were there and saw what the officer saw, heard what the officers heard, and had the experiences of those officers in that neighborhood.

I know I shouldn't, but that comment was SO out of line it had to be challenged. There are a number of other questionable police shootings that s/he could have mentioned and I wouldn't have said a peep, but I think s/he wanted the "shock" value of the fact that it was a child. As if a 12 year old finger can't pull a trigger.

On a side note, various "progressive" groups have given or are giving $100 million to BLM, including $33 million from....George Soros.

@AV8R :

The timeline is already public record. FACT: The officer fired shots within seconds of arriving on the scene. And they failed to issue first aid... the family has filed a civil suit.... the cops didn't face any charges because they are given the benefit of the doubt for such things.

I doubt any cop intentionally kills a kid with a toy gun, I feel bad for the cop having to live with the knowledge he killed an innocent boy. But as the scenario of innocent people getting shot seems to be repeating, over and over again, the perception is that number of cops making very poor split second decisions is on the rise. Is that something that could be addressed? And if so how?

Or do we pretend its not an issue and stick our heads in the sand?
