Need a new phone

Well my Samsung Note 2 has been difficult to charge for quite some time now. It is four years old and the little jack that charges it is going bad.

I really don't want to get a new phone, but I am thinking that spending money on repairing the jack a 4 year old phone might not be the best choice.

So what phone are y'all using and what do you recommend?

I was always an Android guy. For years. I hated Apple. Then one day I decided to try one. I haven't looked back since. The iPhone 6 is the best phone I've ever owned. I will never go back to Android.

Note 5 here....So far no problems. And with wireless charging, you don't have to ever worry about a bad jack. Emoticon

Wireless charger, if your phone has the capability. Problem solved.

No wireless charging doesn't work on all phones.. I think it started with the Note 5.

Yeah, it doesn't look like the battery I have will do the wireless charging... but what I could do is get spare battery a wall charger for the spare battery... I can get that for around $20.

I have an iPhone 5S. I don't want to go to the 6. I want smaller, not bigger! I'm due for a new phone soon and don't know what I'm going to do.

I just went from a Galaxy S5 to an S7 when the screen on my 5 broke.

I really, really, really don't like the 7 as much as the 5. It's 99% the same exact software experience since my S5 was running Marshmallow as well before the screen cracked. My main gripe is that the glass screen is curved eeeevvvverrrrr so slightly around the edges so a screen protector won't' stick properly.

Had I known how little I'd be impressed by the 7, I would have paid to have my old one repaired instead of shelling out for a new one.

I'd be interested in droid but I have the Apple Watch and wouldn't be able to sync. I have one son that loves his droid and the other loves his Apple. The apple has built-in accessibility features for the blind/vis impaired.

@JeepPilot

I just recently got the Galaxy S7 edge, I love it. They have a screen protector and case at the AT&T store that fit perfect.

I have the iphone 6s Plus cause I'm as blind as can be. The screen size is perfect for my bad eyes and it's a lot easier to edit photos in the apps because of it. I'm a Mac fan though and doubt I will ever try the Android phone. Just not interested. Everything I own is a Mac so everything syncs easily.
