Trump and Pence is a forced marriage. No one wanted the job. Gingrich wasnt really considered because of the promise of a party revolt. Christie is too much like Trump--loud and obnoxious. So that left Pence.

mike pence, in 4 or 8 years, depending on who is going to be elected soon, will be the next president of the usa. i am just calling it like i see it.

Mitch Daniels, the previous governor of Indiana, would have made a great president.

@jimthompson :There were and still are a lot of republicans who have serious concerns about the situation with his marriage when the wife left him and their children and went to CA. He waited and she returned. He was told that if he ran it would be an issue among the social conservatives. That may also be a reasons why he is so content at Purdue Univ.

@joepyeweed I have had many conversations with some republicans on this matter. They view the Trump marriages and divorces as somewhat normal. However, they view the Mitch Daniels situation as very unconventional. They refuse to give the man credit when he thought from the start that the wife would return. I dont think the Gingrich marriages would have been an issue either. The party had too many other concerns and issues before the marriages issue.

None of the marriages should be an issue.In the past, affairs and such were considered private and the press was even complicit in keeping them that way.But after Gingrich insisted on impeaching Clinton for his affair, while Gingrich himself was having an affair... well what a tool.

Hell if i was a Billionaire i would be banging models too.
