Fighting with Comcast !&#%^*!%

Honestly the most frustrating and evil company to deal with. Struggling with internet outages at night and when we call, the automatic system says it's overloaded and then hangs up on us. I tried chatting today and their chat server goes down. Apparently AT&T offers a really terrible internet option, how do people feel about the satellite options? Wish we could get ITV3!!!!

You might want to consider a cellular wifi hot spot, the speed will be 4th generation cellular, which would be slower than cable(Comcast) or fiber (itv3) but still faster than dsl (AT&T). We got one for my mom who lives in an area with no cable and only dial up phone service.

Check the price of adding a wifi hotspot to your cell phone service?

Keep in mind iTV3 got bought out, so who knows what you're going to get there. (Not bashing them, just a reminder)

As for Satellite, it depends on what you're going to be doing... If you VPN into work for example, most VPNs don't work on Satellite.

No fancy VPN-ing. Streaming a lot of Netflix, playing some internet based apps on a tablet, emailing, logging onto peoria.com Emoticon How did ITV3 already get bought out?!?!

@kraziebill

Well I like this part for sure!

“We will build out more quickly — perhaps twice as fast as iTV3 was able to — because we have more capital,” he said.

It is worth it to me to keep a house phone (no long distance service) and use MTCO. If there is a problem, which is rare, the phone is answered by an English speaking human in Metamora! Don't do a lot of streaming except for some Roku freebies and it is just me using one device at a time.

I know I'm in the minority but our Comcast internet has been awesome. We have 3-4 devices going at once and I think the last time our internet went out was last year.

That being said I would love to get iTV internet.

When we had Comcast, it went out and we had to reset the router every time it rained.

no problems since moving from comcast to itv3. i don't bother with the tv channels though, cause my internet is so fast i just stream everything right to the tv that i don't even watch because i'm too busy downloading stuff i don't need just because i can.

I dumped them a long time ago. Bought 3 inside antennas at Walmart for $35 each and get about 10-12 channels. I also have Netflix which I enjoy. I tried the competitors before and had nothing but trouble from them also. It just seemed like rates went up, service was poor, staff was rude, and trying to get somebody on the phone who wasn't even in Peoria was enough for me. Best $35x3 I ever bought.
