I was on the river on a friends' boat today and we notice the Coast Guard boarded two boats. Friends say they haven't seen this in awhile.

@RambleOn :They didn't have to work too hard for these accolades. All they had to do was look for minor infractions and profile certain people. Easy money, and a cheesy way of collecting it IMO.

Acolades? No, just glad to get some of the crap off the street and happened to notice that it was a much higher number for MEG than usual. Heck, I profile the guy that stands on my street and hollers at passing "Want smoke?" Then crosses the street to deliver to someone in a black jeep and walks back to where he had come from as the jeep drives away. Sometimes it pays to profile and send the narrative to the correct authorities. If they can take dealers and suppliers off the street, I am glad. I know someone else will replace them, but until then.....

They aren't taking any dealers or anyone high enough level off the streets though. These are mostly end users.

@jimthompson :Unfortunately, I have to agree with your statement. For every low level dealer arrested, there is someone ready to take their place.

All the PPD would have to do is monitor a few key areas in the South End and they could take care of a LOT of the drug problems in the City, but the South End is allowed to be a Zoo and the idiots run wild.

@Carguy Don't feel alone down there up here in the North End its just as bad. What I don't understand is why does 5 to 15 people get to loiter all day. I was told by one officer that they arrest them but the they don't have any money and they just come back. What's the problem here.

@Carguy : Because if they do anything else they'll be labeled as racists.
