I can't understand what any business now wouldn't be taking Credit/Debit cards.

@Carguy :I can. As a former restaurant owner, you get the "privilege" of accepting their card for $.25 per transaction and 4% of the bill. (Ok, this is an average: some offer lower percents but higher per transaction fees and vice versa. American Express is even worse.) There is an ATM on site which allows YOU to absorb the fees of card usage. How many of you look at that and say "I'm not going to pay $2 for the transaction and then pay my bank another $1 for a out of network machine". Well, some businesses feel the same way.
