Renegade Photographer???

OK. Someone explain this to me.
My neighbor just reported to me that while I was out last night, a silver car drove up to my house. Passenger got out, driver raced away. Passenger took photos of my house from several angles. When he was done, the driver reappeared, picked the guy up, and sped away.

Anyone seen anything like this before? Wouldn't have been code enforcement... there's nothing in violation. No license plates, ID, anything like that was reported.

How did they know you weren't home or did they just take a chance on it? It makes me wonder if others were involved in some way.

That happened to a neighbor and it turned out to be the mortgage company taking pictures of the property. They then sold the mortgage note to a different company/bank a month later.

Code enforcement at night? Hmmmmm
Do you live in an historic house?
Are you hiding Waldo?

Spill your guts or I send her back out for proof! I know you have him trapped in the basement!

Whit, you got me.

JFK and Elvis are living in a toaster on a shelf in my basement!

TLS, I was thinking the same thing. It was somewhere between 430 and 7ish from what my neighbors told me.

And for what it's worth, my GF does side work for a company that sends her out to take pictures of things, generally for insurance purposes. Like "Go to 123 main street and take a photo of the gutters on the front of the house" or things like that.

@JeepPilot

I know you're lying! Only because of the Elvis statement. I know for a FACT my friend Chuck has Elvis on ice, he is waiting for the economy to get better before he thaws him out.

@JeepPilot I would be worried that they are using your house as "bait" for money on Craigslist or some other online website to scam people out of some money.

The thoughts that come to mind are mortgage, insurance, thievery... though my insurance agent has warned me that someone was coming to take a picture.

Do you have an architecturally interesting home, or a beautiful landscape, sometimes photographers, like me, will snap pictures of random houses because they make a nice photograph.
