The bottom line is that there are some people who absolutely, positively, under any circumstance can not live in peace and quiet. If there are 99% of the things in a situation that are right they complain about the 1%. One of them is someone who lives down the street. Even our dog pulls away from him. The other day I was walking the dog and we saw this person. It was a cool day and the neighbor went into a monologue about how nasty it would probably be this coming winter. So I cut the conversation short and told him have a good day. Than he started in about how bad his day was already and it was only 7:30AM.

Some people just wake up angry every day.

I was just thinking about this the other day. In the past few years I have been in relationships with two women who were absolutely incapable of getting through a day without creating some sort of conflict as though it were a cigarette or other addiction.

@tntrecycling :I'm sure many of them would prefer not to live with such a negative outlook on life. But assisted suicide isn't legal yet, and unassisted suicide has a high risk of failure.It's not a switch you can just flip to be happy. And it's certainly not a book.

I can recommend a book that will help....

@tapeworm :Agreed! It just seems that there are so many more negative forces that one almost has to work at being happy. It shouldn't be so hard to be happy.
