In theory this arrangement sounds good. However, there are still some unresolved things about this plan and a few new ones came up today. Accordingly, it is too early to say how effective this plan will be.

@billybob trump's speeches today have been pretty entertaining. calling them weak and making fun of the way kasich eats pancakes.

The GOP is going to do everything they can to deny Trump. I think I may have typed this a month or two ago. And Trump has already opened the floodgates for rioting at the Convention if it happens. Should be very interesting.

Totally agree. However, in the end, it could be Trump denies himself the nomination. The party is turning up the heat about Trump not releasing his taxes. There is no possible way the party will nominate him without them being released. They DO NOT want any more surprises. So if Trump still refuses to release them by the convention it is impossible to see how they nominate him. Any sane person would be able to see that Trump did it to himself.

In the mean time the Cruz campaign has said it has started to vet Fiorina for VP.

Trump has already cinched the nomination.
The networks are just trying to create drama to sell commercials.
Totally a done deal.
Although someone needs to notify Cruz & Kasich. They are in denial & making themselves look like fools.

I hate to agree with this, but Trump saying it's pathetic is pretty spot on.

@shifty :

Agreed. I supported Cruz, and I still despise Trump with every fiber of my being...but I despise hypocrisy more. The voters need to choose the president, not a rigged system of smokey, backroom deals. If the voters choose Trump as the candidate, put him on the ballot. If they choose Clinton in November against him, then hello President Clinton...although without the oligarchy it probably would have been Sanders on that side of the ticket.

@AV8R :

I understand that's the conventional wisdom, but I believe he will crush her just like he did the others. Although I still think the O plan is to take her out & replace her with a Biden/Warren ticket. I'd even be willing to bet a fabulous lunch on it.

It is definitely possible before the convention. The primary process has shown us that 1. All rules are subject to change and 2. Voters don't select the nominee the DELEGATES do. It would be easy-peasy to switch her out. By the way, do you know she's having a lot of "coughing fits"? Emoticon

Betting that Trump will beat her in the general, or that King Barry will take her out before that?

One relies on the stupidity of voters, which I'm never willing to bet on. The other relies on Barry actually doing something, and that bet I'll gladly take. See you and billybob at lunch. Bring your credit card.

I hope Trump is the nominee...I can see the ads now. A few former POWs with Trumps voice talking about how he prefers soldiers who dont get captured. Hello Madame President.
